Following procedures are handled.
(1)Re-entry Permit
If you want to leave Japan on temporary trip with an intension of re-entering, it is advisable for you to get a re-entry permit.
(2)Permission to Engage in Activity other than that Permitted under the Status of Residence Previously Granted
If you want to engage in an extra-status activity (a part time job), you must receive “Permission to Engage in Activity other than that Permitted under the Status of Residence Previously Granted”.
(3)Permission for Extending Period of Stay
If you want to continue your activities, you must receive “Permission for Extending Period of Stay”.
(4)Permission for Change of Status of Residence
If you want to change your current status of residence, you must receive “Permission for Change of Status of Residence”.
(5)Permission to Acquire Status of Residence
If you give up Japanese citizenship or intends to stay in Japan due to birth or any other event, and want to stay in Japan must receive “Permission to acquire status of residence”.
(6)Permission for Permanent Residence
If you want to stay in Japan permanently, you should apply for “Permanent Residence”.
(7)Certificate of Authorized Employment
If your company demands to submit an official documents, you should apply for submit the Certificate of Authorized Employment.
(8)Application for the Transfer of the Seals on to New Passport
If you received a new passport and need to have the valid seals on your old passport posted, you must apply for Transfer of Seals on to New Passport.
In principle, applicants should report to Nagoya Regional Immigration Bureau Toyama Office and submit the application forms for above procedures.
You need to take your passport and Registration Card with you. You must pay the handling charge when permission is given.(Except “Permission to Engage in Activity other than that Permitted under the Status of Residence Previously Granted”, “Permission to Acquire Status of Residence”, and “Application for the Transfer of the Seals on to New Passport”). The handling charge should be paid with Shunyuinshi (revenue stamps).
