There are 15 Public Kindergartens. These 7 public Kindergartens, such as Shinbo, Osawano Okubo, Kamidaki, Osho, Omi, and Hayahoshi public kindergartens accept children from the age of 3-years-old. The other 8 public kindergartens accept children from the age of 4-years-old. Parents are responsible for dropping their children off and picking them up.
There are 29 Private Kindergartens start accept from the age of 3-years-old. You can use the complimentary shuttle bus service.
Kindergartens are usually open for 4 hours a day, unlike day nurseries. Kindergartens start receiving applications in October. lf you want to put your child in a Kindergarten midway through the year, please ask the kindergarten of your choice or the School Education Division of Toyama City Board of Education.
