Most of the elementary and junior high schools are run by the City of Toyama. Toyama City elementary and junior high schools which your child may attend are designated according to the location of your residence.
It is possible to change the designated schools for some reason such as to have Japanese training. If that is the case, please contact us. To enroll, please visit Toyama City Board of Education with your child’s Registration card and complete the necessary procedures.
The Board of Education will notify guardians whose children will enter the school next year of the date of their child’s health check toward the end of September, and will then send a notice (post card) for entrance into the school at the end of January.
