|Fires or Ambulance||Dial #119|
(Traffic Accidents & Crimes)
|Injury Resulting from Traffic Accident||Kotsujiko-niyoru-kega|
If a fire starts in your house, shout “Fire! (Kaji-da!)” loudly to notify the neighbors, and call #119 immediately.
Regardless of what happens, calm down, and state address, name, things that are burning, and whether somebody is injured or not.
In case the fire gets out of control, evacuate quickly.
It would be a good idea to write your address and description of a landmark in Romaji (Roman letters) and post it near your telephone or in some other easily noticed place to make report smooth.
Don’t turn off your cellular telephone in case the fire station needs to contact you.
And be sure about the location and the directions for use of the fire-extinguisher.
